Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. As a young girl, she moved from London to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to become a professional actor when she was just at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school which offers classes for part-time students. In a school play and a Stagecoach Production, Emma was as the lead role at age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The film adaptation of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for first time at the beginning of 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after auditions of 8. They were selected as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in 2001. It broke all records in the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. It was highly acclaimed by critics, as were the performances of its three actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma received five awards to honor her role in the movie.
