Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actor from Romania and Germany. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only daughter from Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the showbiz world early and was playing lead roles in different television dramas by the time she turned 16. Her fame was due to her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The other Oscar nominated movies featuring the famous diva are The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra's work has led her to work on a number of significant national and international productions. The projects comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French historic miniseries Napoleon. Additionally, she was a member of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
