Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now an actress from Germany and Romania. Her best-known films include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz early. She was a lead actress in television dramas as early as 16 years old. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and won critical and commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects through the years. They include the British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon and many more. Additionally, she was part of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
